As a Mexican National, you are not required to obtain a visa if you are visiting Spain for less than ninety (90) days every 6 months.
You are not allowed to accept employment while you are visiting Spain without a visa.
You must have a current passport to visit Spain.
Residents of Mexico may be granted a Schengen visa (Visitor Visa), which allows visitors to travel to any or all member countries, with one single visa. This is very beneficial to visitors who may wish to visit other countries without needing to obtain individual visas or additional expenses.
The purpose of the visit must be leisure, tourism, or business.
A Schengen visa allows the holder to travel freely within the Schengen countries for a maximum stay of up to 90 days in a 6 month period.

Step by Step Procedures
What to do in Mexico:
Provide the following documents to your local Embassy or Consulate:
Passport.
Invitation letter from resident in Spain with full address in Spain. The letter should be formal and include a statement that the resident living in Spain has adhered to all the requirements by his governing body.
Copy of Birth Certificate.
Complete Schengen visa application.
Four, identical, recent passport-style photographs.
Applications and all other documentation must be submitted in person at the Embassy in your local areas.
You will be interviewed at the Embassy and the Diplomatic Mission will do a security check with the Schengen Information System (SIS) to verify you are not on the list of aliens not allowed to enter the Schengen area.
Once the application has been approved, you will be issued a Schengen visa within 90 days of application.
